1 Kings 12:26-32;13:33-34
Mark 8:1-10

In the first Reading, Jeroboam is now king of northern Israel. He fears that if his people continue to worship God at the Temple in southern Judah, they might switch loyalty to King Rehoboam and leave him. So he abandons God and Set up 2 golden calves as gods inside his territory. He tells the people worship them for they are nearer and more convenient.... In the Gospel, 4000 people are following jesus listening to him for 3 Days in the countryside without food Jesus takes pity on them and feeds them with bread and fish today's King Jeroboams offer us quick & easy solutions that do not need discipline and will lead to sin. Let us beware of them. Following Jesus is often inconvenient. It takes sacrifices & discipline. But feed by the Eucharist and the Gospel, we always have contentment and guidance to a life of blessed contentment and guidance to a life of blessed harmony with God and Neighbor .

David who loved GOD faithfully united all the 12 tribes of Israel into 1 strong & glorious kingdom But his son Solomon was unfaithful and led the people to worship other gods.When Solomon died,civil war split the kingdom again leaving only 1 portion (the fused tribes of judah / simeon)for the son of Solomon to reign sign is a sickness that splits a nation, a family or a personality. In the Gospel Jesus is Travelling through many parts of the lost tribes of israel and even outside . He is healing the sick and building the great Kingdom of God. He heals a deaf & dumb man so that he could now hear & speak If you've been worshiping other gods and now sense trouble in your life & family come to Jesus quickly and ask for the grace of a listening heart so that you may once more love and speak with love of the One who is Love.
