Sermon: CHARACTERS THAT ARE NOT TO BE FOUND IN A WOMAN OF FAVOUR.
Galatians 5:19-21 KJV:
19’ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20’ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21’ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Note that in Marriage:
God is the first husband and the Man is the second husband.
The characters that are not to be found in a Woman of Favour are:
1. ANGER
We are in a generation where anger is stopping women from being Women of Favour.
A Woman of Favour is one that fears God. If you are a woman to fears God, anger should not be found in you.
Proverbs 21:9,19 KJV:
9’ It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
19’ It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
One of the ways of checking a lady's countenance is by correcting her. Most young women in this generation cannot be corrected because of ANGER.
If you must be a woman that will be great in life(society, family, career, spiritually), get rid of ANGER.
CASE STUDY: If as a young woman still under your parents care, you are told by your parents “Look, the salt in this food is too much” or “I don't like the kind friends you're keeping”, how will the countenance of your face be?
Can you still be corrected?
If you cannot be corrected now that you're still preparing for marriage, is it when you get there that you should be corrected? Oh, it's a pity.
Something you have to note is that anger does not just come, it grows with you. That's why you must start praying against it now.
I pray God to open your eyes to know where you are standing today in marriage and in society in Jesus Name, Amen.
Do you know that most marriages today are destroyed because of the woman's anger?
There was a story I heard about a woman who got angry and tore the marriage certificate without even remembering the covenant she took in Church in front of the Alter (anger has made her to forget God).
Look, let me tell you.
A lady that cooks nonesense should be corrected immediately. If you don't correct or reveal her mistakes to her, how does she change or correct her errors?
You're smiling for her and pretending as if she did well because you don't want to get her angry or because people are around; You're not helping her, you are killing her (especially those not married yet).
Let's go the Bible now (Prov 27:5 KJV):
5’ Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Tell her when she does wrong with immediate effect.
And you ladies, be ready to take corrections because that's one of things that will determine if we will marry you or not.
Let's go to another point.
2. PRIDE
Shai, some of you are already shouting.
We know it, we see it everywhere.
Let a Sister be invited to sing upstage now and God in his infinite mercies began to perform miracles during that ministration, the next morning, level has changed.
A brother you use to greet in Church will greet you, you will not answer.
LEVELS HAVE CHANGE.
Let God just bless one of you here now, that you are the CEO of a multi-bullionaire company now. Overnight, your behaviour in church will change, infact you won't even come to church again.
God has seen some of these things in you, that's why He is revealing to you now, check yourself, don't you have pride? Then how can God bless you?
How can you be a Woman of Favour?
He knows if He blesses you, you will go astray.
Change your life, go and pray.
Prepare yourself.
God knows if you do not take this character down now, it can destroy your life and destiny in seconds.
Remember what brought Lucifer down?
Pride.
Tame it.
Let's go to the next point.
3. LAZINESS
How many of you ladies are still thinking of being independent? And not stay at home to watch TV, be online on social media wasting time that can be invested in something tangible.
Ask a lady who she wants to marry today, she is not doing anything herself but come and see description:
Spirit Filled, Tall, Handsome and Money loaded.
Do you possess these things you mentioned yourself?
Why are you in the marriage at first?
Is it not to be a helpmate?
If you are to sit at home and do nothing, in what way are you a helpmate?
You're a woman, your husband brings everything, running here and there and you are watching him; OH...
You hear statements filled with pride from such women, e.g:
“I can't start a business that is not big, my friends will laugh at me”.
CASE STUDY:
A man goes out and works from morning till in the evening and he comes home and meets nothing in the Kitchen. But that's not the issue oh.
He kept quiet, wanting peace.
He then suggested:
“Honey, why don't you go to the kitchen and prepare me something eat?”
(this is what you hear from a lazy wife)
“Oh Oh Oh, Papa John (not Honey again oh), I am tired, Please, I need some rest.”
(this same person saying that she needs some rest will jump up from the bed the minute her neighbor bangs her door and they start gossiping)
Let's see what the Bible says about a Woman of Favour.
Prov 31:15 KJV:
15’ She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
Now, let us see what the Bible says about a lazy woman.
Prov 6:9-11 KJV:
9’ How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10’ Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11’ So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Oh 21st Century Women, what have sleep done to you?
You see what the Bible is telling us?
Let's look at the scriptures again.
Prov 18:9 KJV:
9’ He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
Prov 19:15 KJV:
15’ Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Slotfulness means laziness.

4. JEALOUSY
Hear me beloved, there's Jealousy under the mandate(purpose) of every man. That's why there are enemies (those who envy you).
CASE STUDY: THE STORY OF JOSEPH
As a Woman of Favour, when you husband is blessed and other Women begin to come around(this happens especially in Ministry), you don't have to be Jealous.
When the the wife starts seeing women around the man who happens to be a Pastor, she becomes Jealous. She is not okay with it.
Let me tell you, that in itself is dangerous. In ministry, women has more problems than men. Infact, as a woman if you marry a Pastor, you will find more women visiting his office than men.
JEALOUSY brings DISTRUST.
Let's look at the scriptures.
Songs of Solomon 8:6 KJV:
6’ Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
You see what is said there of Jealousy?
It is as cruel as the grave.
Don't be Jealous, Pray for Him.
Don't allow Jealousy to destroy your marriage or send you to the grave.
One popular way Women make inquiries from Men goes like this:
“Papa Trust, I hear something”
“I know say nor be true"
Then why are you asking in the first place if you know that it is not true?
To bring problem?
You know the man, you married him.
Since when did someone know your husband more than you that you have to hear something?
Women be wise.
Allow God to lead you.
You will hear ooohhh, but if you are not careful, ehn, you will wish you had deaf ears.
I Pray for God to give you Wisdom to discern truth from that which you hear in Jesus Name, Amen.

5. ENVY
Envy is as a result of you using your life to campare other people's life and later hating or disliking them for their successes or something they did better than you. It starts with Jealousy, it ends at Envy.
Stop watching people's life and jotting comparisons that you further add to your statements to strike your husband.
Don't Envy or compare another person's marriage with yours.
If you want him to be rich, get more anointing or connections, then pray and fast on his behalf. You can Advice him, remember I said advicing, not shouting or nagging.
6. NAGGING
Nagging is the continuous complaint of the husband's errors by the woman.
This is caused(most of the times) by desatisfaction.
Proverbs 21:9,19 KJV:
9’ It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
Brawling there means nagging.
A nagging woman is also a quarrelsome woman.
Instead of complaining, why not look for a solution?
Instead of complaining, why not pray?
“Don't be a nagging Woman, be a Praying Woman”
