God is not present in fear-mongering, threats, or guilt-tripping. Lasting repentance occurs when we respond to God's love and kindness. Reject condemning thoughts and voices and embrace the transformative love of God. 🙏

Hindi natin maaabot ang standard ng bawat isa kaya para iwas sakit sa puso, mabuhay at maglingkod para kay Kristo.

8 things I wish I knew before coming into ministry:

1. You Can Love People and Still Get Hurt by People.
“Man is an extremely fickle beast,” sabi sa isang librong nabasa ko. Don't base how you serve people on how they treat you. Base how you treat people on how God has treated you.

2. Rest Is Non-Negotiable.
This part is especially humbling. Magpapatuloy ang simbahan kahit wala ka. You are needed, but you are not indispensable. The church will still exist when you take a day off. So take the day off.

3. Water Is Your Best Friend.
You will cry after the service, on the way home, in the bathroom, and sometimes for reasons you cannot explain. Kaya mag-invest sa tumbler!

4. You Cannot Save Everyone.
You can pray, reach out, counsel, and show up, but you cannot make someone choose Jesus. It’s not your job to save them, your goal is only to point them to the One who can.

5. Sacrifice Is Not One-Time.
Akala ko nung ni-let go ko yung relationship, okay na. Meron pa pala. Akala ko nung binitawan ko ang magandang opportunity sa trabaho, okay na. Meron na naman ulit. Saying yes to ministry once is easy. But God requires more than just a day and more than a season. He wants more than a decision, but devotion.

Ang calling pala progressive. Kaya progressive rin ang sacrifice. The higher you go, the lesser things you take with you.

6. The Greatest Battle Is Not Doing Ministry. It Is Staying Close to Jesus.
Akala ko being in ministry will give me more time to sit with the Lord. Pero hindi, kasi hindi rin natatapos ang problema ng simbahan.

I’ve found that I am most effective in ministering to others when I have first allowed God to minister to me. Fight for your intimacy with the Lord.

7. Let Others Wash Your Feet Too.
The greatest act of humility is not when you serve, but when you allow people to serve you too. Sit down, be humble, and let others care for you.

8. People Come and Go.
T.D. Jakes once said, “In ministry, you have to act like a bus driver. You make a stop and people get off, and people get on. But no matter who gets off and gets on, you keep on driving.”

‘Wag matakot mag-invest ng oras, effort, resources, wisdom, and love. Give them your best while you have the opportunity.

My favorite part of a person’s story is when they reach the words:

“But God.”

Because those two words have a way of interrupting everything that came before them.

“I was lost—but God found me.”
“I was broken—but God restored me.”
“I almost gave up—but God carried me.”
“I didn’t know how—but God provided.”
“I was overthinking—but God gave me peace.”
“It was heartbreaking—but God became my comfort.”
“There was no hope—but God made a way.”
“It’s too late—but God makes all things beautiful in His time.”
“Life is so hard—but God remained good.”
“I am a sinner—but God loved me anyway.”

“But God” is where our limitations meet His faithfulness.

And that is where hope lives—not in pretending that life is easy, but in remembering that God has never stopped being God in the middle of it.

So if your story feels unfinished, don’t be too quick to call it the end.

Leave room for two words.

But God. ☝️🙏

You don’t graduate from being a disciple just because people follow you now.

The danger in leadership is not lack of skill—but a heart that stops listening.

Because the moment you think you’ve “arrived,” you quietly stop growing.

True disciples stay soft enough to be corrected, humble enough to be taught, and hungry enough to learn—even in seasons of influence.

📖 Proverbs 12:1 — “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge…”

So stay teachable.
Even when you’re the one teaching others.

Because in the Kingdom, leaders don’t outgrow correction—they grow through it.
