The Prophet (upon him be peace) said: "A servant sinned and said: 'O Allah, forgive me.' Allah said: 'My servant sinned and knew he has a Lord who forgives.' Then he sinned again... Allah said: 'I have forgiven my servant.'" - Bukhari 7507. Imam An-Nawawi was clear: repeated tawbah (repentance) for the same sin is still accepted tawbah, as long as each return is sincere and not a performance. What breaks it is returning to the sin with no genuine intention to stop, while still in the act of repenting.
