To tell you who MH Khan Manju (Gopalgonj) is, I have to tell you a story.

You may also Google him as a murderer.

In 2010, one Friday afternoon as I walked home from Baitul Aman Mosque I rescued a stray dog from the streets. Our doorman's son named the dog Tommy. We fed Tommy and gave him a roof over his head. Pretty much saved him from starvation. A year went on, and Tommy would be jumping and sprinting every evening when I went home.

I personally cared for him and gave him a new chance at life. This is an actual event between that timeline.

One day, I hear neighbors screaming that there is a disaster happening. I rushed to the roof to realize that Tommy who had never shown any sign of threat to my prized pigeons and had thus gained my trust and access to them, was actually ripping apart the heads of at least 6 pigeons from their nests.

MH Khan Manju (Gopalgonj) is the stray my father Golam Mohammed Khan brought home one day in late 1970's, a dog who gave in to his instincts all too well.

Please note: Tommy was not culled, he was locked up in a CNG and taken to Gulistan, to wander Kaptan Bazaar where on every Friday there is a pigeon market which comes together.
