We are delighted to invite you to an afternoon tea with Dr Keith Farmer, at Blackwood Church of Christ, this coming Thursday July 11, from 1.30- 3pm.

Keith may well be described as a legend within Churches of Christ in Australia, both as a minister and a mentor to many church leaders. He will be in Adelaide to launch his book, Leading Like Jesus: Leadership lessons from the radical rabbi. He has co-authored the book with author and theologian, Kevin Simington.

Keith and Kevin offer a biblical, Christ-centred and grounded theological approach to the subject of leadership based on years of practical ministry experience. This a solid and important read for those who are serious about discipleship and leadership.

Since 2005 Keith has mentored many ministers and Christian leaders from across Australia, giving him a unique insight into the many demands of ministry and the need to anchor ourselves deeply in Christ. His background in psychology, experience as a Principal of ACOM, and involvement in local church ministry gives him a unique perspective.

He sees the need for pastors to be supported holistically in their faith and leadership. His passionate goal is to see the Kingdom of God enhanced through leaders engaging in effective and sustainable discipleship in Christ.

It is with great sadness that we post that our friend and Minister Collin Heslop has passed away.

From leading Churches and outreaching into the community to serving on the State Board of Churches of Christ, Collin has impacted many people with his love, warmth and energy.
We extend our prayers to Tanya, Brittany and Sam, Tim, Adelyne and Indiana as they grief the loss of a husband, father and a grandfather.

We will be celebrating Col's life Monday 29th of May, 1pm at the Balaklava Town Hall. A private burial will be held following the funeral, but please join us for afternoon tea (finger food and hot drinks supplied) at the Balaklava Golf Club. Other drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

PLEASE NOTE: We must be out of the Town Hall by 3pm.

For those who are unable to attend, a recording will be available for viewing shortly after.

Collin ‘The Rev’ is now at rest with the Lord Jesus, may this be of peace and comfort to us all.

Yours in Christ

We share in the grief of John Main’s passing and in thanksgiving for his life and many years of ministry.

In addition to his ministry in India, John served as the minister for Churches of Christ congregations in South Australia including Stirling, Keith, Bordertown, Mundulla, and Brooklyn Park as well as Auburn, NSW.

A thanksgiving service for John will be held at Happy Valley Church of Christ at 10am, Friday March 17th. You can connect with the live stream through the following link:

It is with great sadness we share that our dear friend and servant of God, John Main, passed away last weekend. John and Valerie Main served as missionaries with Churches of Christ in India for 20 years. They maintained a lifelong commitment to global mission and local church ministry throughout South Australia.

We give thanks to God for John's life, and his contribution to ministry both overseas and in Australia. Our prayers are with John’s family in this sad time.

Thank you to every one who participated in the three days of events for Churches of Christ SA & NT Convenmtion - Participate in Renewal.

On Thursday our full bus load of people were guided around Adelaide by Uncle Frank Wanganeen as we learned more about the Kaurna people, their story, loss, and grief. Through the hospitality extended to us we learned more about Kaurna land, language, ceremony and culture.

On Friday we were powerfully inspired by Brooke Prentis and Jack Reese throughout the day. We also celebrated the ordination of Martin Lee as we celebrated together.

On Saturday we heard stories from Lifecare, Global Mission Partners and Carerworks. Then we were led in conversations by Brooke Prentis, Jack Reese, Veta Youth and CCFS. We thanked our outgoing Conference President Leanne Sanders and welcomed Carl Haasbroek as our new Conference President.

It was a full and inspirational three days and we give thanks to God for the season of renewal we are being led in together.
