Feast of St. Joseph – Patron of Workers and Protector of the Holy Family

Today, we celebrate St. Joseph, the humble and devoted earthly father of Jesus, protector of the Holy Family, and a model of faith, obedience, and quiet strength.

St. Joseph teaches us the power of silence and prayer, showing us how to trust in God’s plan, even when the path ahead is unclear. On this Feast Day, let us ask for his intercession in our lives, especially in our work, family, and struggles. May we follow his example of courage, integrity, and unwavering love for God and His will.

“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, and those who rely on His strength.” - St. Joseph, pray for us!

It’s a time to deny ourselves as He did, in order to draw closer to God. Here are some meaningful ways we can sacrifice and transform our daily routines, enhancing our connection with Christ during this season of reflection and renewal.

📣 Calling all Youth! This is for you!

Join us after the 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday, 8th March for an evening of faith, fun, and fellowship! We’ll learn about the life of Mother Teresa, her calling, and the founding of the Missionaries of Charity, while also continuing our work in shaping the identity of our parish youth group. We’ll then explore her journey of light through darkness and prepare for Lent with a meaningful commitment activity. Dinner (pizza) provided!

On Ash Monday, March 3rd, we will hold a special 7pm Mass at the chapel at Watanobbi, rather than at OLOR. The liturgy will be brief, incorporated into the Divine Liturgy, and will be celebrated with reverence. A meal will follow for those who wish to join. All are welcome to attend. Please let us know for catering and address. Thank you

A reminder that we are launching our youth group for 12-17 year olds this Saturday 8 February after the 5pm Mass. The evening will wrap at 8:30pm.

The night will include games, pizza, and fun activities. This is a free event.

Our Lady of the Rosary Parish is committed to the care, wellbeing and protection of children and young people, therefore we ask parents to bring their children to the event and complete the permission form at the time of drop. Parents will also be required to collect their children by the finish time of 8:30pm.
