Obedience is easier when the path makes sense.
When the details are clear.
When the outcome feels secure.
When we know where it will lead.
When we can see how everything will work out.
But many times, faith is asked
to move before clarity comes.
God may ask you to let go
before you know what He will provide.
He may ask you to step forward
before you know where the road will end.
He may ask you to trust Him
before you understand what He is doing.
Scripture says,
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called
to go out to a place that he was
to receive as an inheritance.
'And he went out, not knowing
where he was going.”
Hebrews 11:8
Obedience often begins before certainty arrives.
Faith does not wait until every question is answered.
It responds because God is trustworthy.
That does not mean obedience is always easy.
It means the heart has learned that God’s character
is more reliable than our need for full explanation.
Sometimes the clearest next step
is simply this, obey what God has already said.
And trust Him with what He has not yet shown.
Lord, teach me to obey You even
when I cannot see the whole path.
Help me trust Your voice, Your wisdom,
and Your leading more than my need for certainty.
Amen.
Heart Check,
Am I waiting for full clarity before obeying,
or am I trusting the God who already knows the way?
