O God, giver of that ardour of love for you
by which Saint Lawrence was outstandingly faithful in service
and glorious in martyrdom,
grant that we may love what he loved
and put into practice what he taught.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

What gave birth to an idea, flourished into a ministry.

Friends, it was in prayer — that act of communion with God — that the seeds were sown into Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop’s heart: the seeds of faith and service, of hope and hospitality, of sacrifice and love.

It is on this day of days, that those same seeds take root and blossom into our own hearts, forming us closer and closer into the image and likeness of Christ Jesus.

It is in a spirit overflowing with joy, that we joyfully present to you our ministry: Pilgrimage to Emmaus.

Our mission? To be fashioned into instruments of God’s grace and mercy so that, once having encountered Grace and Mercy Himself, we may unceasingly proclaim, ‘The Lord has risen indeed!’ (Luke 24:34) as our ‘hearts burn within us’ (Luke 24:32).

We’d love for you to walk with us as we pilgrim on our pilgrimage to Emmaus.
