Join us this Thursday, 6pm for Holy Hour at St Mary’s, North Sydney.

Holy Hour is an opportunity for you to take a moment in your week to stop, reflect and pray.

We’re delighted that Hugh Macken will provide a reflection.

The Trinity is not just a doctrine to understand.

It is an invitation to live a life of love, connection, and self-giving.

In this reflection, Fr Richard explores why relationship is at the very heart of God.

25/05/2026

Pentecost is not just about wind and fire.

Fr Richard reflects on how the real miracle of the Holy Spirit is understanding, connection, and peace in a divided world.

“Why are you standing there looking at the sky?”

In this reflection, Fr Richard explores how the Ascension is not about absence, but mission. Christ sends us back into the world as witnesses of hope, mercy, and love.

Love is more than a feeling.

In this reflection, Fr Richard explores how Jesus connects love, sacrifice, and self-control, revealing the path to true freedom and happiness.

One year on from his election, what has Pope Leo shown us?

Fr Richard reflects on a papacy marked by clarity, unity, and quiet courage in a changing world.

Since marking one year since the death of Pope Francis and approaching one year since the election of Pope Leo XIV, Fr Richard reflects on their legacy.

In many ways, Francis and Leo XIV complement rather than conflict, revealing the depth and unity of the Church’s mission.

He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

In this reflection, Fr Richard reminds us that Jesus is not just a path to follow, but a home where we belong, and from which we are sent to live with purpose.

Fr Michael Stoney SJ, who died this April, was a man of unmistakable joy. A Jesuit for 73 years, he gave nearly 11 of those in faithful and generous service to our parish community until 2020. Many of us will remember his warmth, his humour, and the tireless way he poured himself out in love for others.

We hope many of you will join us for the Sydney Mass of Thanksgiving for his life: 6pm, Sunday 3rd May 2026 at St Mary’s, North Sydney. This is a moment for us, as a community, to give thanks to God for the gift that Michael was to us.

Following the Mass, we will continue to share stories and celebrate his life at the North Sydney Hotel.

We'd love to hear your memories and stories of Fr Michael.
