✝️Today is the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Through her comes the dawn of salvation. She is the New Eve, the mother of all who live (Gen 3: 20).

Let's not let this day pass without offering a spiritual bouquet to Our Lady and Our Lord for the gift of God's grace.

🙏 Impart to your servants, we pray, O Lord, the gift of heavenly grace, that the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin may bring deeper peace to those for whom the birth of her Son was the dawning of salvation.Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

September the MONTH OF THE SEVEN SORROWS OF MARY

This worldwide movement of men and sons publicly praying the Holy Rosary is to offer reparation and repentance to God on the ‘First Saturday’ of each month in honour of Our Lady of Fatima and Her requests.

All are invited and encouraged to make this monthly pilgrimage to Australia’s Mother Shrine.
St Mary’s Cathedral stands on the site of the first Catholic Chapel in Australia and it was proclaimed as Australia’s first Minor Basilica bestowed upon it by Pope Pius XI on 4 August 1932 also becoming the first country in the world to have a Mother-Cathedral named in honour of Mary Help of Christians.

✝️'He became King of France (as Louis IX) at the age of 12. He was married and had eleven children, to whom he gave an excellent upbringing. He was noted for his spirit of prayer and penitence and for his love for the poor. He ran his kingdom not only to give peace to the people and economic stability but also for their spiritual good. He founded the Sorbonne and was a friend of St Thomas Aquinas. He was a member of the Order of Penitents of St Francis of Assisi, which later became the Franciscan Third Order and is now known as the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS).
Louis was trusted by his fellow-rulers in Europe and often asked to arbitrate in their disputes. He undertook two unsuccessful crusades to liberate Christ’s burial-place and on the second of these he died, near Carthage, in the year 1270.'
