PSALM 116 v 1-7
A man Saved from Death Praises God.
I love the Lord because he hears me:
he listens to me every time I call to him. The danger of the death was all round me: the horrors of the grave closed in on me: I was filled with fear and anxiety. Then I called to the Lord , I beg you , Lord save me ! The Lord is merciful and good ; our God is compassionate. The protectthe helepless; when I was in danger , he saved me , Be confident, my heart; because the Lord has been good to me .

MATHEW 27: 69-74
Peter Denies Jesus.

Peter was sitting out side court yard when one of high priest servant-girls came to him and said , you too , were with Jesus of Galilee. but he denied it in front of them all. I don't know what you are talking about, he answered and went on out to the entrance of the courtyard. Another servant-girl saw him and said to the man , there he was with Jesus of Nazareth . Again Peter Denied it and answered I swear that I don't know that man . After a little while the men standing there came to Peter . Of course you are one of them, they said After all , the you speak gives you away , then Peter said , I swear that I am telling the truth ! May God punish me if I am not ! I do not know that man ! Just then a c**k crowed , and Peter remembered what Jesus had told him: Before the c**k crows , you will say three times that you do not know me . He went out and swept bitterly.

HEBREWS 9 : 1-14

Earthly and Heavenly Worship.

The first covenant had rules for worship and a man made place for worship as well 2 A Tent was put up , the outer one . whichwas called the Holy place , in it were the lampstand and the table with bread offered to God 3, Behind the second curtain was the Tent called the most Holy place . In it were the gold altar for the burning of incense and the Coveneant Box all covered with gold and containing the gold jar with manna in it. Aaron's stick that had sprouted leaves , and the two stones tablets.

JOSHUA 22:16
Aprayers for understanding.

When the Israelite tribes located east of the Jordan build a large altar to worship God , the Israelite tribes who settled west of the Jordan become concerned . They think that by building more altars, the tribes to the east are compromising their belief in one God . Some are ready to go to war over this issue. But maintaining unity among the tribes is also important . So, the western tribes, Phinehas understand their good intentions, and war is avoided .Think about the times when you have jumped to conclusions about other people's actions. Then say the following prayers:

God of love and wisdom, a misunderstanding almost lead to war among the Israelites. Help me to listen and understand their intentions, as Phinehas did. And let me be gracious in recognizing when I am wrong. Amen.

King Solomon's Wealth 13-20

13 Every year King Solomon received almost twenty- three thousand kilogram of gold , 14 in addition to the taxes paid by trader and merchants . The kings of Arabia and governor's of Israelite district also brought him silver and gold . 15 Solomon made two large shield , each of which was covered with about seven kilogram of beaten gold . 16 and three hundred small shields, each covered with about three kilogrammes of beaten gold .He had them all placed in Hall of the Forest of Lebanon.

A Loyal Soldier of Christ Jesus
As for you, my son be strong through the grace that is ours in union with christ Jesus. Take the teaching that you heard me proclaimed in the presence of many wittnesses, and entrust them to reliable people, who will be able to teach others also. Take your part in suffering , as a loyal soldier of christ Jesus. A soldier on active service wants to please his commanding officer and so does not get mixed up in the affairs of civilian life.

REWARDS 40-42

" Whoever welcomes you welcomes me : and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sentme. 41 whoever welomes God's messenger , because he is God's messenger, will share in his reward. And whoever welcomes a good man because he is good , will share in his reward. 42 you can be sure that whoever gives event a drink of cold water to one of the least of these my followers because he is my follower, will certainly receive a reward.

JERREMIAH 30
The Lord's Promises to His People
Versus 4-10.
4 The Lord says to the people of I srael and Judah :
5 I heard a cry of teror a cry of fear and not of a peace
6 Now stop and think !
Can a man give birth to a child ?
Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labour ?
Why is every one so pale ?
7 A terrible day is coming : no other day can compare with it - a time of distress for my people, but they will survive.
The LORD Almighty says : when that day comes, I will breake the yoke that is round their necks and remove their chains , and they will no longer be the slaves of foriengners . Instead they will serve me , the Lord their God , and a decendent of David, whom I shall enthrone as King.

The New Heaven and the New Earth
Revelation 21: 1-4
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth . The first heaven and the first earth disappeared , and the sea vanished , 2 And I saw the Holy City , the new Juresalem , coming down out of heaven from God, prepared and ready like a bride , dressed to meet her husband .
3, I heard a loud voice speaking from the thrown : Now God's home is with man kind! He will live with them , and they shall be his people, God himself will be with them, and will be their God. 4, He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. there will be no more death , nomore grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared."

Tomorrow Day.

1- Do not boast about tomorrow , for you do not know what a day may bring.

2- Let another praise you , and not your own mouth- a stranger , and not your own lips ,

3- A stone is heavy , and sand is weighty , but a fool's provocation is heavier than both.

4- Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming , but who is able to stand before jealousey ?

5- Better is open rebuke than hidden love .

6- Well meant are the wounds a friend inflicts, but profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

GOD SENDS PROPHETS TO LIBERATES HIS PEOPLE!
Exodus 65

Cultural Connection

God responded to the cry of his people , choosing Moses as a Prophet and commissioning him to lead the Israelites to freedom. Despite Moses' first doubts, with God 's assistance , Moses became an affective and powerful leader. God would not let Moses 'excuses stand in the wayof God's mission of liberation.

Christian shares in Jesus Christ's prophetics work as well. we too need to speak out against ijustices and help the victims of oppression . Like the prophets before us, we can only succeed with God's help..

in our time great sprituals leaders have risen up to lead people to freedom: Mohandas Ghandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Dorothy Day, Archbishop Oscar Romero, and caseesar Chavez are just a few. As in the case of Moses , God inspired these leaders to see their people experiencing injustices and to seek to liberates them from oppressive powers. you can be sure that these people also had their doubts and relied on God for their strength and hopes.
Are you aware of any group that is being oppressed today ? How might God be calling you to help?
Ask God for wisdom, strength, and help in your mission.
