One of Deserving Better WA’s core pillars is community education.

We believe that increasing awareness of coercive control, recognising early warning signs, and having difficult conversations openly can help build safer communities and contribute to preventing future acts of violence.

This week alone, Australia has seen reports of the deaths of 5 women and 2 children.

Behind every headline is a family, a community, and lives that should never have been lost.

These conversations matter.

Education cannot solve violence alone, but awareness creates recognition, recognition creates earlier intervention, and intervention can save lives.

We would love to see you there 💜

The Third Place Subiaco is looking for some new passionate, enthusiastic volunteers to join the team!!

We are looking for some extra hands on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays! Helping out within our cafe for various programs run from the center including, barista work, cooking, cleaning & serving the community!
