Young Adult Fellowship Recap – FOLLOW JESUS

On Sunday night we continued our 3‑part series: Know Jesus, Follow Jesus, Contend for Jesus.

Our focus was Follow Jesus, looking at Jesus’ blueprint before He began His ministry — a pattern He lived out even though He is God and didn’t need to do any of it.

He chose to walk the path we must walk, so we could follow in His steps.

What We Learned

Repent — Jesus went to the waters of baptism, identifying with sinners in repentance even though He had no sin. The sinless God stepped into a sinner’s line to show us that following begins with humility and surrender.

Receive — Jesus received the Father’s affirmation: “This is My beloved Son.”
He didn’t need identity — He is God — yet He modelled what it looks like to stand in the Father’s love before doing anything.

Resist — Jesus resisted the enemy for 40 days.
He could have defeated Satan with a word, yet He chose to endure temptation as a man to show us how to overcome through Scripture and the Spirit.

Respond — Jesus responded immediately when it was time to begin His ministry.
He didn’t need to “grow into” His calling — He is God — yet He demonstrated obedience, urgency, and readiness.

Reproduce — Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him. He didn’t need disciples to accomplish His mission, yet He chose to reproduce followers so the Kingdom would multiply through us.

What’s Next
We’ll continue an extension of this “Follow Jesus” session with our Youth next Sunday night, 5th July.

We’re excited to help our young people see that Jesus didn’t just command discipleship — He lived it first.

SUNDAY MORNING RECAP

A’oa’o Talouli reminded us from 1 Peter 2:1–10 that our spiritual growth begins with craving the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. Just like a newborn can’t grow without milk, we can’t grow in Christ unless we keep feeding on Scripture — reading it, studying it, and letting it shape our hearts.

But the message didn’t stop there.
Milk is where we start, not where we stay.

God calls us to grow — to move from milk to solid food, to deeper understanding, stronger faith, and mature obedience. If we stop feeding on the Word, we stop growing. If we only sip milk but never learn to chew meat, we stay spiritually weak.

Peter reminds us who we are becoming:
living stones, a holy priesthood, a chosen people called out of darkness into His marvellous light. Growth is part of our identity.

So this week’s encouragement is simple:

Keep feeding your spirit.
Keep growing in the Word.
Don’t settle for staying the same.
God is building you into something strong, holy, and useful for His glory.

There’s a season for everything… and this morning was a time to laugh.

Proverbs 17:22: "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones" (NIV).

We tried the “Holy Forever” trend — everyone saying one lyric so we could stitch it together. Our Samoan speakers were giving those English lyrics their best shot, and honestly… the way some of those lines came out had us gone.

Wrong words, new words, confident-but-not-quite-right words — the whole thing turned into pure joy. The room felt lighter, everyone was smiling, and it was just good vibes all around.

Different languages, same heart.
Honouring God with gladness - even in the giggles.

See you tomorrow at 9am for fellowship. ❤️

✨ SUNDAY SERVICE RECAP — SEEK FIRST ✨

All glory to God for a beautiful morning yesterday in fellowship.

Pastor brought a powerful reminder from Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”

We were reminded that Jesus calls us to trust, not worry. To look to Him today, not fear tomorrow. To rest in the Father who already knows what we need.

Pastor shared that every day carries its own troubles — but when we put God first, He carries the weight we were never meant to hold.

Our hearts were encouraged, strengthened, and lifted to focus on the One who is faithful in every season.

May we be a people who seek first His Kingdom.

Blessed week ahead family. All glory to God alone. 🙌👏

SUNDAY NIGHT YOUNG ADULTS FELLOWSHIP

Focus: Know Jesus
Main Question: Who is Jesus?

On Sunday night we opened Matthew 1 and looked at who Jesus is through the eyes of Matthew. We only touched the surface — just enough to stir hunger for what God is revealing.

This Sunday night we will run through this with our YOUTH Group. See details in the flyer.

See you then!! ❤️
