Watching the walls go up this past weeks has been such an encouragement to all of us. Brick by brick, we are seeing God’s kind provision and the fruit of many prayers and faithful giving. 🙏🏻
It’s hard not to think of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls “So we built the wall… for the people had a mind to work” (Nehemiah 4:6). The Lord was the one who sustained the work then, and He is the one building His church now.
And yet, as we rejoice in these visible walls being raised, we are reminded of a greater reality: Christ is building a kingdom not confined by bricks or boundaries. In Him, the dividing walls are broken down, and He is gathering a people for Himself from every nation: a spiritual house, built on the cornerstone, Jesus Christ.
So we give thanks 🙏🏻 not ultimately for a building, but for what it serves: the preaching of the Word, the administration of the sacraments, and the gathering of God’s people.
Thank you to everyone who has joined us in prayer, giving, and labouring.
Soli Deo Gloria.
