🌟 Heartfelt Gratitude to All Attendees! 🌟
The Women's Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Perth, Western Australia, extends its deepest thanks to everyone who joined us at our 2nd Annual Peace Symposium. Your presence and support made this event truly special.
We are especially grateful to our speakers: Senator Fatima Payman (Senator of WA), Dr Renae Barker (Law and Religion Expert - Senior Lecturer from The University of Western Australia), Ms Sky Dawson (Representative from Buddhist Women’s Association in WA) and Mrs Wafiiqah Bhugeloo-Hadi (Representative from Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community WA) and all our esteemed guests, particularly Councillor Ivonne Rodriguez - City of Canning Councillor Phoebe Corke, City of Cockburn, West Ward, Councillor Carol Zhang - City of Cockburn and Councillor Joanne Page, for gracing the occasion with their presence.
A special thanks to Senator Fatima Payman for her inspiring speech on Human Rights According to My Faith, where she said, “Multiculturalism and true representation means going against the tide.” Underlining the importance of inclusivity and standing firm in the face of adversity.
The event concluded with an uplifting address by Mrs Samina Rashid, President of the Women’s Auxiliary, who reminded us that, “True peace begins in our hearts and is reflected in how we treat one another.”
The symposium is an initiative aimed at fostering dialogue and understanding on topics of human rights, peace, and mutual respect, bringing us closer to a harmonious society.
