Anglican EcoCare We provide environmental advocacy within the Diocese of Perth for our parishes, our people, and our place.

Established to enact the Fifth Mark of Mission; this mark emphasizes the responsibility Christians have to care for and protect God's creation. The Anglican EcoCare Commission strive to sustain the earth through initiatives that promote environmental responsibility in a range of diverse settings – from worshipping to school and local communities. They do this through education, advocacy and expressions of eco theology. We are proud to belong to a Diocese that considers the environment as something integral to the life and mission of the Church, as well as central to our spirituality. We act in accordance with the Anglican EcoCare Statute (2006). Our current policy priorities are sustainability, energy, water and pollution. We hold membership with the Ecumenical Social Justice Roundtable, the Council of Churches WA, and the WA Civil Society Climate Roundtable. Our commissioners are committed Anglicans, lay and ordained who promote the responsible stewardship of our creation through theological action and reflection.

On the steps of Wesley Uniting Church in Perth, people of faith gathered to stand in solidarity with the people of Christmas, Cocos and the Pacific Islands, calling for climate justice.

🙏 🌊 Standing with Our Pacific Neighbours

EcoCare and Bishop Hans joined faith leaders, community advocates and supporters at the Stand with Our Pacific Neighbours gathering at Wesley Uniting Church in Perth.

The event brought together people from diverse faith traditions and community organisations in solidarity with Pacific communities facing the increasing impacts of climate change.

The gathering highlighted the importance of listening to the voices of Pacific peoples and supporting calls for a just and sustainable future.

🙏 🌊 EcoCare was proud to stand alongside religious leaders, community representatives and elected officials in advocating for climate action and care for our common home.
