Through life's disappointments, mistakes, struggles and uncertainties, it's easy to lose sight of just how deeply God loves us. We can become weighed down by guilt, shame, or the feeling that we've somehow fallen too far from His grace. As we conclude our journey through Romans 8, be encouraged by the beautiful assurance that whatever life brings, God's love remains steadfast. Perhaps it's time to set aside some of the things that have clouded our view of God and rediscover the beautiful simplicity of His love. His love is greater, His grace is sufficient, and He is for you! 🎥

Just like the cupboards and corners of our homes, our hearts can accumulate things we were never meant to hold on to. Old hurts, unresolved resentment, and memories we'd rather forget can quietly take up more room than we realise. Looking at Joseph's extraordinary journey through betrayal and injustice, Pastor Sam explores the transforming power of forgiveness and what happens when we allow God to work in the deepest places of our hearts. Sometimes what we need most in a difficult season isn’t another explanation; it’s a reminder of what we already know. We know God has been faithful. We know He has carried us through things we once thought were impossible. We know that even when we can’t see the bigger picture, He is still at work. The next instalment of our Romans 8 mini-series gives us a confidence that reaches beyond the circumstances of today. The things that looked like they would break us can become the very things God uses to build, equip, and strengthen us. Whatever you’re carrying today, be encouraged: the God who brought you through then is still at work now. 🎥

Sometimes the answer comes suddenly. Other times, faith looks like continuing to knock when the door still seems closed. Ask. Seek. Knock. Don’t stop! Through Pastor Sam's first message, we’re reminded that prayer isn't about demanding our way from God; it’s about approaching a good Father with humility, hunger, and persistent faith. If waiting has left you discouraged, or unanswered prayers have caused you to stop asking altogether, perhaps today is the day to begin again. Keep praying. Keep seeking. Keep knocking.

Now, as we welcome Sam and Esther into this new season with us, we have the privilege of seeing another chapter begin. On Missions Sunday, we heard remarkable stories of ordinary people who said yes to God and discovered that His plans were far greater than anything they could have imagined. From compassionate care in India to almost 40 years of ministry among remote communities in the Philippines, these stories remind us that God is at work in places we may never see through people who were simply willing to be available. Father’s Day can hold many different emotions. For some it’s a celebration. For others, it carries grief, complicated memories or the weight of things we wish we could change. Psalm 103 lifts our eyes beyond imperfect earthly experiences to the heart of a perfect Heavenly Father: compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and overflowing with love. There is grace for our failures, healing for our wounds, and hope for the places where we’ve fallen short. Be encouraged by the immeasurable compassion of a God who continues to draw us closer to Him. 🎥

How do you keep hope when nothing around you seems to be changing?
Romans 8 speaks honestly about the tension between the groaning of today and the glory still to come. But within this tension we have hope. We can hold onto God, find purpose even through pain, change our perspective and learn to endure the wait because our circumstances don't have the final word. Hope lifts our eyes toward what we cannot yet see. It reminds us that today's struggle isn't the end of the story, that we're not abandoned in the waiting, and that God's grace is still at work. Faith keeps looking beyond the battle. Hope keeps leaning toward Christ. 🎥
