Happy Wattle Day! (That's September 1 - the first day of spring for Aussies.) Seems appropriate for LM-A as we start a brand-new chapter as a synodical body. This gorgeous floral arrangement featuring wattle and the LM-A cross was created by Lynette, one of the Good Shepherd Hamilton crew for our final day of Synodical Assembly.

On Sunday, 30 August 2026, the Synodical Assembly of Lutheran Mission - Australia voted unanimously and with great joy in favour of altar-and-pulpit fellowship with the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland. The ELMDF, led by Bishop Pohjola, will respond in the coming days. Although Bishop Pohjola was prevented from attending the Assembly in person, a greeting from Bishop Pohjola was read. Fervent prayers offered for the protection, comfort and strengthening of our brothers and sisters in Finland.
