I receive this word as I was thinking about what The Holy Spirit is saying to me for 2026.
Leviticus 20:26 NLT
You must be holy because I, the LORD, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
The seraphim in Isaiah 6:3 cry out, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory." This passage highlights that God's holiness is the reason the earth is full of His glory, and His glory is the visible evidence of His holiness
The Holiness of God is intrinsically linked to the glory of God. Holiness refers to God's inherent moral perfection and His "set apartness" from all creation and all sin. God's glory is the visible, tangible, or experiential expression of this intrinsic holiness and all of His other perfections.
Holiness is not just an attribute among many; it is often considered the attribute that defines the very essence of God's being, making Him worthy of glory.
When God's glory is revealed, it is His holiness being made known. In the Bible, manifestations of God's glory (such as the Shekinah cloud or fire) often inspire a deep sense of awe and an awareness of sin in humans, precisely because they are encountering His perfect holiness.
From a Christian perspective, the ultimate purpose of human life is to reflect God's holiness and thereby give Him glory.
The process of sanctification (becoming more holy) is seen as the process of increasingly reflecting the glory of God in one's life.
Therefore, the glory of God is the outward expression of His inward, perfect holiness.
In 2026, our Mandate is to grow from holiness to holiness and shine from glory to glory through Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
