Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Dear community members,

Two community members who attended the Wandana Mosque for prayer have tested positive for COVID and more are expected.

In accordance with government regulations, the Wandana Mosque men’s area is an exposure site for the following dates and times.

Friday 24th December- Jummah Prayer

If you have been to the mosque during this prayer time, the below SA Health link will help determine if you are a close or casual contact and provide instructions on testing and quarantine.

At the present time majority of congregation is considered low risk casual contact, however the positive cases have been advised to inform those who they think could be close contacts.

If other community members begin to test positive, we advise you to please do the same.

The Islamic Society urges anyone with symptoms to please isolate and get tested immediately, and to please refrain from coming to the mosque if you present with cold or flu symptoms.

Protecting the wider community, ourselves and our most vulnerable is essential during this pandemic.

We urge all mosque attendees to QR code check-in, wear mask, socially distance and get vaccinated.

Tuesday 21st December to Thursday 23rd of December – All prayer times.

Masjid Omar Ibn Alkhattab Quran Halaqa is happy to announce *The Little Muathin Competition 2021.*

The competition aims to teach kids how to perform Athan (the call for the prayer) properly.

*Conditions of Entry:*
* Children aged 5-9 years old.
* Submit a video recording of your Athan to WhatsApp number 0434321562.

* Athaan memorisation

Post Lockdown Ease of Restrictions - Prayers in Masjids

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Based on the recent announcement by the Government for places of worship, the Islamic Society of South Australia would like to announce that following masjids will be open from fajr prayer Wednesday the 28th of July 2021:

With effect for all Islamic Society of SA masjids listed below:

- Marion Masjid
- Wandana Masjid
- Mount Gambier Masjid
- Whyalla Masjid
- Murray Bridge Masjid

Please note the below conditions of entry still remain in place until further notice:

- QR Code Check In Mandatory or manual sign in on paper upon entry.
- Maximum of 1 person per 4 square meters in each prayer area (25%)
- You must bring your own prayer mat & mask
- Do not attend if you are sick with flu like symptoms or feeling unwell
- Please perform wudu prior to arriving, however note our wudu facilities will still be open
- Please sanitise your hands with the sanitiser upon entry
- Please follow all staff & volunteer instructions

Regarding Jummah Friday Prayer this week 30th July

Please be aware each masjid is restricted to 25% of total capacity, therefore we must close the doors once each prayer area has reached its maximum capacity.

Based on the recent announcement by the Government for places of worship, the Islamic Society of South Australia would like to announce the following:

With effect immediately for all Islamic Society of SA masjids listed below:

- Marion Masjid - Capped at first 300 men only per session (7:30am & 8:30am)
- Wandana Masjid - Capped at first 190 men only per session (7:30am & 8:30am)
- Mount Gambier Masjid - Capped at first 20 people
- Whyalla Masjid - Capped at first 20 people
- Murray Bridge Masjid - Capped at first 20 people

- QR Code Check In Mandatory or manual sign in on paper upon entry.
- After khutbah please leave immediately to reduce risk of contact infections.
- No Women or Children under 12 allowed for Eid Prayer.
- Maximum of 1 person per 4 square meters in each prayer area.
- You must bring your own prayer mat & mask.
- Do not attend if you are sick with flu like symptoms or feeling unwell.
- It is recommended to perform wudu prior to arriving, however please note our wudu and toilet facilities will be open.
- Please sanitise your hands with the sanitiser upon entry.
- Please follow all staff & volunteer instructions.

Note: We understand the women in our community maybe feeling disappointed as a result of these restrictions. It was a difficult decision and one we’d like to explain. Due to short notice, the ISSA officials did not have time to prepare the women’s praying area and covid safe plan in time for tomorrow morning.
We make a commitment to have this organised if there are future restrictions impacting the mosque.

Please also note that you must limit your family & friends Eid visits to 10 people per house as per Government restrictions.
