While looking back at yesteryear through rose-coloured glasses isn't healthy (Ecc 7:10), this article does a good job contrasting an apparent shift towards a more casual style of Christianity that we find today. Though things don't have to look like they did in a generation past, Jeremiah's warning should at least arrest our attention "...and caused my people to err ... by their lightness (frivolity, casualness, unimportant)..." Jer 23:32
