Cohort 4 - Intro to Ministry with our very own Director of TWT Coz Crosscombe!

Who is Coz?

Coz is the Assistant Minister at Mt Druitt Anglican Church in Sydney and the Director of The Well Training.
Coz holds a Master of Arts in Global Urban Missions from Bakke Graduate University and a Doctor of Ministry with a focus on complacency urban systems from Gordon Connell Seminary. He is on the boards of Esperanza Health Centre, The Simple Way and Simple Homes.
Coz grew up mostly in the bush around Armidale, northern NSW. He became a Christian when he was 21 and left Australia not long after, eventually landing in Philadelphia, USA where he met his incredibly talented wife Joyce (whom he claims is far more talented than he is, and has achieved more than he could ever imagine!) Joyce is a Primary School teacher in Mt Druitt and together they have 4 children, Saiyeh, Melanie, Emma and Tony.
He started his ministry working with teenagers, then church based economic and community development and eventually into education and consulting. Coz has taken his decades of relationships in challenged urban communities around the world and his experience in education and leadership development, to head up The Well Training.
He is also the co-founder of Common Grace, which is dedicated to helping churches strategically come together to do more together than they could do alone, and help those in ministry be the best they can be for the Kingdom.
Our impressive Coz is also the Co-Author of Place Matters, along with Bill Krispin whom was a very dear friend of Coz.
In his free time you will catch Coz on a bike, mountain, gravel, road or anything else! He also really enjoys travelling and seeing what God is up to in the most unlikely places.

Cohort 3 - Written Word of God - With the one and only Peter Jensen!

A bit about Peter:
Peter Jensen is a retired Australian Anglican bishop, theologian, and academic. Born on July 11, 1943, in Sydney, he studied law, taught primary school, and later attended Moore Theological College. Ordained as a priest in 1970, Jensen served as a curate and lecturer before becoming the Principal of Moore Theological College in 1985. He was appointed Archbishop of Sydney in 2001, a position he held until his retirement in 2013. During his tenure, he encouraged church planting, resulting in 136 new congregations.

As we come to the end of the year, we wish you and your families a safe, joyful, and blessed Christmas and New Year.

At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ — Emmanuel, God with us (Isaiah 7:14). He is the Light of the World (John 8:12), bringing hope, peace, and love into our lives. As the angels proclaimed, “Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

May this season be a time of rest, reflection, and gratitude, and may the light of Christ guide you into the year ahead.
