Morwell Messy Church Morwell Messy Church is a new group for all ages meeting at the Neighbourhood House in Beattie Crescent on the 1st & 3rd Saturday afternoons each month.

Morwell Messy Church kicked off with a bang on Saturday, 7 June, at 4:00 p.m. Around 50 people were in attendance and had a wonderful time together. It was hard to get people to leave and there were still people hanging around at 7:00 p.m. People enjoyed some intriguing presentations by Josh, the crazy scientist, some fun ice-breakers and making new friends. There was also an interesting presentat

ion on the Dead Sea Scrolls and why we can believe the Bible we read today is an authentic rendition of the ancient text. Kids enjoyed arts and crafts and perhaps the biggest hit was the yummy meal prepared by the Pitzner family. This is an opportunity for people in the Morwell community to meet new friends, interact with others in a safe environment with a Christian setting. Our programs are designed to be appealing to people of all ages, particularly children, but single people, old people and people of every description are welcome and will be catered for. All our staff have Victorian Working With Children checks and we will be operating on a strong Child Safe basis. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for people to meet new friends, tap into support networks, do our best to address personal needs that become apparent out of the group, and to offer an opportunity for people to explore Biblical Christianity in a non-threatening environment where nobody will be coerced to make any decision or commitment. Messy Church was founded in Britain by the Bible Reading Foundation and is not specific to any particular Christian denomination. Morwell Messy Church is being sponsored by the Moe and Traralgon Seventh-day Adventist Churches. This Saturday is the first Morwell Messy Church for the year!

With our usual fun-packed program for the kids, and visiting presenter Craig Gillis sharing some practical insights of what the Bible has to say about our day-to-day lives, we're looking forward to a great start to our year together.

Today marks our 4-month anniversary of Morwell Messy church! This afternoon we are looking forward to more fun-filled children’s activities, an interesting presentation on “God’s Solution for Death”, a hot meal together, and more fun from Josh the crazy scientist!
