Fr. Neville Nixon's funeral was very well attended with approximately 80 people. It was a wonderful send off to a truly remarkable man. The Ascension Ladies'
Guild did the catering in the Parish Centre and it was so nice to catch up with some "old" parishioners we hadn't seen for some time. Fr. Nixon's body was taken to Gympie the Monday following the service and he was buried in the Gympie Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

For all members of the Anglican Community Fr. Neville Nixon has passed away. His funeral will take place at The Church of Ascension, 706 Wynnum Road, Morningside at 10.00 am Friday 29 May 2026. Refreshments in our Parish Centre Hall after the service.
Fr. Nixon was a former Priest at our Church of Ascension for 30 years and was the founder of Anglican Aid Abroad whilst a young Priest at Gin Gin. All are welcome to attend.
