Prayer meeting is on tonight (and every Wednesday night) at the church, starting at 6.00pm. The church will be a lovely temperature. All welcome, see you there! ๐Ÿ™

And every morning at the Millicent Adventist Community OpShop begins with prayer. ๐Ÿ™
Before the doors open and the day begins, our volunteers gather together to pray for our community, our customers, and one another.

We pray that those who walk through our doors will be blessed, that needs will be met, and that in every conversation and interaction people may see the love of Christ reflected in our words and actions.

The OpShop is more than just a place to find affordable items and free OzHarvest food โ€” itโ€™s a place where we hope people feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. Our prayer each day is that God will use this space to bring hope, kindness, and encouragement to everyone who visits.

We would love to invite our community to join us in prayer. Youโ€™re welcome to come and pray with us at the OpShop before opening, or simply pause and pray wherever you may be at the same time. Together we can lift up our community, asking that God bless Millicent and surrounds, and the people who call it home. โค๏ธ
Thank you to our incredible volunteers who give their time, their compassion, and their hearts in service at the opshop.

Q: Do I need to "dress up" to attend church?
A: No. Smart casual dress is perfectly acceptable. You'll find people dressed in a variety of styles. Come as you areโ€”we're much more interested in meeting you than in what you're wearing.

Q: What should I expect when I visit?
A: You'll be warmly welcomed and invited to join us for worship, prayer, and a Bible-based message. Visitors are never singled out or pressured to participate.

Q: How long is the church service?
A: Our main worship service generally lasts around 30โ€“45 minutes.

Q: Do I have to be a member to attend?
A: Not at all. Everyone is welcome to attend our services, community programs, and special events.

Q: What denomination is your church?
A: We are a Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Christian church that believes in salvation through Jesus Christ, the authority of the Bible, and Christ's soon return.

Q: Why do you worship on Saturday?
A: We worship on Saturday, the seventh-day Sabbath, because we believe it is the biblical day of worship established by God at Creation and affirmed throughout Scripture.

Q: Will I be asked for money?
A: No. Visitors are under no obligation to give. Any offerings collected are voluntary and support the ministry and mission of the church.

Q: Is there something for children?
A: Yes. We offer programs for children and young people designed to help them learn about God in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Q: What if I don't know much about the Bible?
A: That's perfectly okay. Whether you're new to faith, exploring Christianity, or have been studying the Bible for years, you'll be welcome here. No question is a silly question.

Q: Can I attend if I've made mistakes in my life?
A: Absolutely. Church is not a place for perfect people; it's a place where people seek God's grace, forgiveness, healing, and hope.

Q: Do I have to participate in everything?
A: No. Feel free to participate as much or as little as you're comfortable with while you get to know us.

Q: Can I request prayer?
A: Yes. We'd be honoured to pray for you, your family, or any situation you may be facing. Prayer requests can be shared privately if preferred.

Q: Will someone visit my home if I attend?
A: Only if you request a visit. We respect your privacy and won't show up uninvited.

Q: Can I attend if I belong to another church or faith?
A: Absolutely. People from all backgrounds and faith journeys are welcome to visit, worship, and learn with us.

Q: How can I learn more about the church?
A: Speak with one of our friendly members after the service, attend a Bible study, or contact us through our page. We'd love to answer your questions.

Still have questions? We'd love to help. Feel free to send us a message or come along and meet us. There's a place for you here. ๐Ÿ˜Š
