English Conversation Corner - Melbourne

We are based in Melbourne, Australia and offer free English conversational classes. Our mission is simple — to help you gain confidence in speaking everyday English! We invite you to join us, whatever your level of English and background. Our classes are structured around making conversations — in a regular class setting, our volunteers will be facilitating group discussions around everyday conver

sational topics. You will find yourself in the midst of a community of people from different parts of the world. Our classes are held at two different locations:

Every Mon: St Paul’s Cathedral Education and Ministry Centre, Chapter House Lane, off Flinders St (Enter through the carpark opposite Federation Square). Every Wed: St James’ Old Cathedral Conference Centre, 2-10 Batman St (off King St, beside Flagstaff Gardens). Classes open for conversation at 2pm. The English lesson runs from 2.30pm to 4pm. At 4pm there is a Bible story and discussion, finishing at 4.30pm. Monday classes also include an optional Christian worship time followed by a meal. We welcome you to join us on either or both days. Sign up is simple — just show up on a day, register and participate in the class! The English Conversation Corner is an initiative sponsored by St Paul’s Cathedral and St James’ Old Cathedral.
