“From Tulsa to Tumbi Umbi..”

The re-established prayer rooms of Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast of New South Wales.

Decades after the first early expressions of the 24-7 Prayer movement here Australia this new collection of prayer rooms has been embedded in the community, a place where people from half-a-dozen local churches gather to pray.

Praising God for the unity in prayer across the local coast community here 🙏

📍Launceston, Tasmania, Saturday 28 March

These events will be a time to hear all about the 24-7 Prayer movement here in Australia and our vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer.  We’ll hear stories from around the country and share some practical tools about how to run a prayer room and build a culture of prayer in your local context. There will also be a time to hear about our growing Prayer Spaces in Schools initiative.  And of course, we’ll spend some time in prayer and worship together – seeking God’s heart for our local contexts.  Link in bio for more details, we can’t wait to see you soon!

We pray 🙏

For comfort and healing for the families of those murdered and injured in the Bondi attack.

For the Jewish community in Sydney, and throughout Australia.

For government and community leaders to confront antisemitism with courage and wisdom.
  This advent, we pray for peace: the whole creation groans.
 Prince of Peace, we cry out to you today for all places in our world that are suffering.
 Bring the wisdom that will lead to justice, and the courage that will bring reconciliation.

 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
 Jesus, light of the world, our hope is in you.
 Let your Kingdom come, and your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven.

Amen.

It’s been a privilege to record for Lectio for Families over the last year or so! 🎙️

Like Lectio 365, Lectio for Families follows a simple P.R.A.Y. pattern each day:

P:ausing to be still
R:ejoicing with, and Reflecting on, verses from the Bible
A:sking for God’s help
Y: saying YES to God’s ways.

The Lectio for Families team includes adults and children who are part of the 24-7 Prayer movement around the world.

We’re delighted to share details of a new book from 24-7 Prayer that tells the story of how Prayer Spaces in Schools are changing young lives.

“Sticky Note Prayers is more than just a book - it’s the story of an movement that began with one sticky note on a classroom wall….. and has since reached over 1 million children and young people in more than 7,000 prayer spaces across at least 35 countries.”

Phil Sokell-Miles, author and International Director of Prayer Spaces in Schools, will be hosting an online session for Prayer Spaces in Schools Australia to share more about the story of the movement and how you can get involved, all welcome.  Wednesday 22 October, 4 pm (AEDT)  To register for the online session, email [email protected].

Join us online for The Gathering ‘25!

The Gathering is an annual event run by 24-7 Prayer that brings together people from across the international movement with a passion to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer, mission and justice.

This year the event will be held in Stuttgart, Germany from 30 October - 1 November.

It will be an in-person event, but will also be live-streamed with sessions available on catch-up.

For the 2025 Global Week of Prayer, 24-7 Prayer Australia is partnering with St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of Melbourne – and you’re so welcome to be part of it!  We’d like to invite one and all to come to the cathedral and engage with a series of interactive Prayer Spaces as throughout the week we pray for our neighbourhoods, city, nation and the world.  There will be a chance to hear from Trudi Sayers (National Director of 24-7 Prayer Australia) and opportunities to join together in prayer and worship.
