This Lord’s Day we continued our journey through 1 Samuel 2, focusing on Eli and his sons.

The sermon reminded us that our task is not simply to look at Eli’s sons and try to become better than them. Instead, we are called to recognise that Jesus has done what we could never do for ourselves.

The Christian life is not about outward service alone, but about truly knowing Christ, trusting in what He has done, and walking with Him.

Been wondering about joining our Bible study? Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been exploring together: the attributes of God.

We’ve been learning more about who God is, including His holiness, righteousness, justice, goodness, and glory.

It’s never too late to join us. Whether you’re new to the Bible or simply wanting to grow closer to God, you’re very welcome.

We’ll be finishing our Attributes of God series over the next couple of weeks, before beginning a new study through the Gospel of Luke.

Hannah’s circumstances had not yet changed, but God had already heard her prayer. Before the answer came, peace arrived. Before she was healed, she was heard.

A new sermon series has begun! 📖

This Lord's Day we began our journey through 1 Samuel, starting with the account of Hannah and her faithful prayer to God.

Over the coming months, we'll follow the lives of three significant figures in Israel's history—Samuel, Saul, and David—and see how God faithfully accomplishes His purposes through both triumph and failure, always pointing us to the greater King, Jesus Christ.
It was wonderful to follow along using our new 1 Samuel Bible Study Companion. If you haven't picked up a copy yet, we encourage you to speak with Pastor Lindsay to get one for yourself.

📖 Starting this Sunday: A new sermon series through 1 Samuel

Have you ever found it difficult to follow a sermon or understand what's happening in a Bible passage?

To help our church engage more deeply with God's Word, Pastor Lindsay has prepared a companion study guide for our new series through 1 Samuel.

Each guide includes:
• Historical and biblical context for the passage
• The main point of the sermon
• Space to take notes during the message
• Study questions to help you reflect on and apply God's Word throughout the week

A huge thank you to Pastor Lindsay for the massive amount of time, thought, and effort that has gone into preparing these booklets. We are grateful for your faithful labour in helping our congregation better understand and apply God's Word.

Copies will be available in the foyer from this Sunday. Please help yourself to one. If you're able, there will also be a box available for a small donation to help cover the printing costs.

Another encouraging Wednesday evening of fellowship around God's Word! 📖🍕

This week, we continued our study of the attributes of God by looking at God's holiness from Isaiah 6:1–7.

As Isaiah beheld the Lord seated on His throne, he was confronted with God's perfect holiness, his own sinfulness, and God's gracious provision of atonement. It was a powerful reminder that our holy God is completely set apart, yet in His grace He provides cleansing and forgiveness for His people.

We're thankful for everyone who joined us for dinner, fellowship, and another rich time
studying the Scriptures together.

When Jesus said, “Take heart; it is I,” He was revealing far more than His identity to the disciples.

The words He used echo the divine name revealed in Exodus: “I AM.”

Jesus Christ is not merely a teacher or miracle worker. He is the eternal Son of God, Lord over creation.
