e to love my middle name, Aurea, meaning ‘golden’.

What grew out of giving personalised, handmade gifts for special events like weddings, baptisms, birthdays as a missionary strapped for cash has grown a desire and love of crafting beautiful, personalised things made especially to celebrate all of those special occasions in life.

So here we are. Years later, buried under vinyl, acrylic blanks, boxes and wood slices, grateful for encouraging friends and a husband that is patient (and bears with the mess and chaos that is sometimes my workspace) and supportive of all I do. With love,

The desire to reopen the shop has slowly been brewing the last couple of months and I found myself looking at photos of all the items I have been asked to make.

What continued to amaze me is knowing that what my humble little hands have made has been part of adding beauty and a little handmade touch to homes, birthdays, weddings, sacraments, first Christmases, housewarmings and God only knows how many other special moments. Truly a privilege.

It’s been a hot minute but StudioAurea is officially back open for business and with a new brand ambassador! My sweet girl Rita Cecilia just turned 3 months old today and we are smitten with her and her smile that lights up the room (her matching dimple with her dad is too much 😍)

Firstly, THANK YOU for all of your orders over the last month and a half (I got my first Christmas ornament order back in October!)

Secondly, I’ve decided to close up shop a little earlier than expected to ensure all of your orders arrive in time for Christmas!

Studio Aurea will go into vacation mode from 12pm tomorrow until the new year for the sake of my mental and physical health and to give myself permission to have a nice restful break in pursuit of that elusive thing called work/life balance!

In the meantime I’ll be over here in my chaotic studio frantically trying to get all of your orders out the door as quickly as possible 🙋🏽‍♀️
