Manly Freshwater Parish 150th Anniversary Trivia Night

As part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations, we are looking forward to hosting a community Trivia Night at the Parish Hall on Friday, 5th June.

Parishioners, friends, and family are all very welcome to attend. You are welcome to form your own team of a few people, or simply come along on the night and join one of our tables. It promises to be a wonderful evening of community spirit and friendly competition.

Join us to celebrate the 40th Anniversary Mass of Thanksgiving for the Diocese of Broken Bay on Thursday 28 May 2026 at The Light of Christ Centre, end of Yardley Ave, Waitara at 7.00pm.

The Mass will be followed by a farewell supper for Archbishop Anthony Randazzo.

It is with great sadness that I share with you the death of Fr David Taylor. Fr David passed away suddenly this afternoon, Saturday 25 April 2026 at Northern Beaches Hospital, Sydney where he was recently a patient.

After completing a Bachelor of Social Studies (Honours) at the University of Sydney, in 1986 he entered St Patrick’s College, Manly, to commence his priestly formation. Fr David was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Patrick Murphy DD at Corpus Christi Cathedral, St Ives, on 7 December 1991.

In 2009, Fr David began his long-term ministry to the people of Manly–Freshwater as their Parish Priest, and in 2022, he served the broader region as Dean of the Northern Beaches until his retirement in 2024.

Fr David’s distinctive warmth, humour, and pastoral devotion to the communities he served, and many others, will ensure he is remembered with deep gratitude and affection by all who knew him.
