It is with great sadness that we share the news that today, 23 August, Fr Dmytro Seniw passed into eternal life at the age of 86.

Fr Dmytro passed away in the 60th year of his priestly ministry, having devoted almost six decades of his life to the service of God and His people.

We ask you to remember Fr Dmytro in your prayers and to pray for the repose of his soul.

Details of the funeral services will be announced in due course.

May his memory be eternal. Вічная пам’ять!

Today, 18 August, 2026, we commemorate the 63rd anniversary (1963) of the blessing of the cornerstone of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Queanbeyan, NSW.
This blessed stone marks the foundation upon which our parish was built - lovingly laid by our pioneers as a symbol of faith, unity, Ukraine, and the generations who have prayed, served, and grown here.
As we reflect on this special milestone, we give heartfelt thanks to God for the gift of our parish, for those who established it, and for all who continue to strengthen it with their love, faith, and dedication.
