A reminder that the parent information evening for the Sacrament of Confirmation is tonight Tuesday 8 September at the Church of the Twelve Apostles Jindalee beginning at 6.30 pm. 

Registrations will still be accepted by Friday 11 September.

God our Father, 

We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.

We pray for young fathers embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.

We pray for fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.

We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and wisdom.

We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen. 🙏🏽❤️

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

There will be an opportunity for primary aged Year 3 students and above who have received the Sacrament of Baptism to register for the Sacrament of Confirmation at https://darrajindaleecatholicparish.org.au/confirmation/.  The online registration will close on Friday 4 September . 💻

Should you feel that your child and family are called in readiness, the process will commence with the Parent Information Evening on Monday 7 September at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Darra or Church of the Twelve Apostles Jindalee on Tuesday 8 September both sessions beginning at 6.30 pm. 

Luisa and the team are excited to journey alongside you and your families during this special season of preparation. 🙏🏼❤️

We warmly invite you to the annual Multicultural Mass at Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs Church, Inala, on Sunday 30 August at 2pm, where we will share the beauty of faith across cultures and celebrate the rich diversity of our Church. The Mass will be presided by Archbishop Shane Mackinlay and afterwards, all are welcome to stay for a joyful celebration in the church grounds featuring cultural performances, refreshments and activities for all ages. We warmly encourage participants to wear their traditional or cultural dress as a visible sign of the unity and beauty found in our diverse Catholic community. All are welcome. 🙏⛪

$40,000 in grant funding available: Homelessness Outreach

The Catholic Foundation is inviting Catholic organisations directly responding to homelessness in our community to apply for funding for programs and services that support individuals experiencing or affected by homelessness. Please share with Catholic organisations and ministries who may be eligible. Let's support the vital work being done for our most vulnerable community members.

This week is Scams Awareness Week across Australia. We stand with all Australians to recognise, avoid and report scams. The theme, “No one’s just a number," reminds us that behind every scam is a real person, someone’s parent, friend or fellow parishioner, whose money, time or trust has been stolen. Scams can leave people feeling distressed, embarrassed and less confident online.

⚠️ Important for parishioners: Scammers are sending emails and texts pretending to be parish priests, deacons or staff.

Please remember:
• No priest, deacon or parish staff member will ever ask you by email or text to buy gift cards, transfer money or send funds in unusual ways.
• If an email looks like it’s from your priest but comes from a personal address (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) rather than the official parish domain, treat it as suspicious.
• Scammers often use urgent, friendly language (“Can you do me a quick favour?”) and then request gift cards or immediate payments.
