“The level of revelation God gives you will always be equal to the level of mystery you’re willing to live with. And the inability to live with mystery is your resistance to childlikeness. It’s childlikeness that gives us access to dimensions and realms of the kingdom that you can’t get in any other way.”

This morning Pastor Bill shared a profoundly heartfelt, costly message that is foundational to a life of faith. Pastor Bill, we honor the sacrifice you made to be with us this morning. Thank you for consistently modeling what it looks like to pursue the presence of God with the curiosity and the awe of a child. Mark 10:15 says, “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” As a house, we will continue to press into presence with the childlike faith that was imparted to us today and press in to see His kingdom at a greater measure than we have before.

Church, we encourage you to tune into this morning’s service to hear the powerful message Pastor Bill gave. What a privilege it was to be led through the journey of bringing our whole selves as an offering to the Lord, even when it is costly. We pray that you are empowered to see the goodness of God and wholly worship Him in every season. May you be blessed with courage to lean into mystery and experience who He is as an unfailing, unchanging Father who is always good.

In Honour

Join us for a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:00PM PT. The Holy Spirit will comfort us as we worship God and remember, honor, and celebrate the profound life of Beni Johnson.

Please note that registration is not required. Though there will be reserved seats for family and friends of the Johnson family, seating will be first come, first served. Please carpool to the Civic, and be prepared to be directed to a seat either in the main auditorium, an overflow room at the Civic, or to be redirected to College View if the Civic fills to capacity. The service will also be streamed on Bethel.TV and Bethel’s YouTube.

Thank you again for your prayers that are still covering Pastor Bill and his family, and for your love and flexibility. There are an incredible number of people who want to celebrate our beloved Beni and her family. We look forward to sharing this time with one another as a local and global congregation.
