On Tuesday 12th May 2026, MKUD Svetlost held their first training session on MOCMV grounds in over a decade. The hall in the Macedonian Cultural Centre was fittingly the backdrop for this historic occasion. We wish to thank everyone who supported in making all of this possible and are looking forward to more collaboration in the future.

On the 6th May 2026 on the feast of St George, our Community celebrated the feast day of our Church St George and St Mary Mother of God in Epping. After holy Liturgy was served, a lunch was held for the members and parishioners in attendance in the hall of the Macedonian Cultural Centre. Thank you to our hard working volunteers who put everything together especially our talented MOCMV Events Team! We would also like to thank La Cantina Catering for their wonderful food and kind donation and also Sophie Soklevski and Tobin Brothers Funerals for their kind donation for the feast as well. On the 4th May 2026, the Macedonian Orthodox Community of Melbourne (MOCMV) and Victoria held a Commemoration in remembrance of the death of Goce Delcev in its grounds at 512-516 High Street, Epping. A Panahida was held by Archimandrite Gavril Galev and Father Kliment Stankovski followed by speeches by MOCMV President Dejan Zmejkoski and Mr. Ico Najdovski Perin. We thank those that attended and laid wreaths at the memorial. Wreaths were laid by MOCMV, Macedonian Shield, Macedonians of Mahem, World Macedonian Congress, Macedonian Orthodox Youth of Australia, Toše AMDE, Mr. Sasho Uzunov.

The MOCMV would like to say thank you to everyone who helped yesterday at our Epping grounds and gardens around Sveti Georgij Presveta Bogorodica and the Macedonian Cultural Centre. The working bee was a huge success, everything that needed to be completed was completed in record time! We couldn't have done it without the help of the wonderful volunteers. Thank you to Nikola Stavreski for your fruit donation for our volunteers. Extra special thank you to Dust be Gone, Macedonian Shield, Macedonian Orthodox Youth of Australia & MKUD Svetlost for your hard work!

On Friday 27th February 2026, MOCMV in conjunction with the Macedonian Consulate held the first Consular Day at the Macedonian Cultural Centre, 514 High Street, Epping.

Older members of the Macedonian Community find it harder to travel to the city and the Consular Day was an opportunity for us to bring the Consulate to them. Thank you to the Macedonian Vice-Consul Silvana Ivanovska, Deputy Consul-General Alija Alijevski and our MOCMV volunteers who made this day possible.

MOCMV will strive to work alongside the Australian and Macedonian Governments for the good of the people.
