The Wimmera Biodiversity Seminar is an annual event held in the Wimmera region of Victoria showcasing expert and local knowledge of biodiversity locally and beyond. The Wimmera Biodiversity Seminar is an annual event held on the first Thursday in September each year, in the Wimmera region (Victoria) showcasing national experts and local knowledge of biodiversity. The seminar is a full day event of
speakers covering a diverse range of topics within the theme of the year, including a field trip to a nearby location. Previous speakers include researchers at universities, environmental management agencies, environmental professionals and community led groups. The Wimmera Biodiversity Seminar is an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge of environmental process in our region, and beyond. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking over morning and afternoon tea, lunch, and the seminar dinner event. The organising team is composed of members from the Department of Energy, Environment & Climate Action (DEECA), Wimmera Catchment Management Authority (WCMA), Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC), Yarriambiack Shire Council, GWM Water, Parks Victoria, and Trust For Nature (TfN).
