HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Halloween, or “All Hallows’ Eve,” is actually the start of a sacred ‘triduum of death’—three special days that help us reflect on life, death, and eternity. This triduum includes Halloween, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day, each with deep Catholic roots.

On All Hallows’ Eve, we remember that our ultimate goal is heaven, where the saints live in glory. The next day, All Saints’ Day, honours all saints, known and unknown, though here in Australia it isn’t a day of obligation. Then comes All Souls’ Day, when we pray for our loved ones who have passed, helping them on their journey to eternal joy.

So, if you’re wearing a costume, why not dress up as a saint or martyr—honouring the holy men and women who have gone before us! Just skip the demons; let’s celebrate the light over darkness.

Far from being just costumes and candy, Halloween in its Catholic sense calls us to remember life’s fleeting nature, the beauty of heaven, and the power of prayer. So yes—Happy Halloween, and may we celebrate this holy time with joy and purpose!

FEAST DAY

Have a very Blessed day as we celebrate the Feast of St Therese of Lisieux. May St Therese continue to intercede for us all according to Gods will.

Let your prayers to St. Therese shower you with a fragrant spiritual bouquet to help you on your “little way” to Heaven with God’s help and His love. Remember, no one is too little or no task is insignificant in God’s eyes if it is done out of love for Him in accordance with his will.

Final Novena Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I have specific requests that may only partially fill the infinite needs and desires that are in my heart. I ask that You answer me not only for those requests but also for a greater reliance on You to satisfy the needs and desires that You have given me.

Please grant the prayers of all those who prayed this novena with me. Bless them with Your love and make them holy!

May I seek You with a sincere heart knowing that it will profit me nothing if I gain the whole world yet lose my soul.

So, help me to see Your good and gracious purpose in all my trials. Help me to see Your blessings in every day and help me to love You more.

Thank You for everything, Lord Jesus!

Amen.

OFFERING OF THE DAY

WRITTEN BY ST THÉRÈSE

My Lord, I offer You all the actions I did today,

for the intentions and the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus;

I would like to sanctify the beating of my heart, my thoughts

and my most simple work by joining them to His most infinite merits,

to repair my faults by throwing them in the blaze of His Merciful Love.

O my God I ask You for myself and for those I love for

the grace to accomplish perfectly Your holy wish,

to accept for Your Love the joys and pains of this passage that is life

so that one day we can be reunited in Heaven for all eternity.

Amen
