Each Sunday, we gather around the Word of God.

Taking time to read, reflect on and pray with the Scriptures before Sunday can help us enter more deeply into the liturgy, hear the Word with greater attentiveness, and proclaim it with understanding and faith.

Sunday Readings & Reflections - 2027 is now available from Liturgy Brisbane. This practical annual resource is designed for clergy, readers, parish teams, liturgical ministers, and anyone who wishes to spend more time with the Sunday Scriptures.

With the readings and reflections for every Sunday of the year, it is a valuable companion for personal prayer, liturgical preparation and the important ministry of proclaiming God’s Word.

We hope it will help you listen more deeply to the Scriptures and prepare your heart for each Sunday’s celebration.

The 2027 edition is available now from the Liturgy Brisbane online store:

Although Easter may seem a long way off, the best Triduum celebrations are those that are prepared thoughtfully and well in advance. Planning these liturgies often raises practical questions, and each year Liturgy Brisbane receives many enquiries from parishes seeking guidance.
To support parishes in this important ministry, we invite you to join us for Preparing the Liturgies of the Easter Triduum, a practical workshop led by Dr Clare Schwantes and Michael Mangan. Together we will explore the theology, structure and practical preparation of the liturgies of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil, addressing many of the questions that arise each year.

This workshop will be hosted by our parish and will be held at
Holy Spirit Church, Auchenflower on Saturday 10 October from 9:30am – 12:00 pm.

Cost: $20 per person

This workshop is ideal for priests, deacons, parish liturgy committees, sacristans, music and choir directors, music ministers, and everyone involved in preparing parish liturgies. Whether you are planning your parish celebrations for the first time or simply looking to refresh your understanding, you will leave with practical guidance and renewed confidence.
We look forward to welcoming you.

In the midst of a busy week, take a moment to be still.
Breathe, rest in God’s presence, and allow a deep sense of peace to settle within you.

Take a quiet moment to pause, pray, and simply be.

When the road gets tough, we are called to be the hands that lift, the hearts that listen, and the presence that brings peace. By carrying each other's burdens with patience and extending the same mercy we have been shown, we reveal the true face of Christ to the world.

Tag someone who has been a steady support on your faith journey, or save this reel as a reminder to check in on a friend today.

It can be so easy to hide in familiar shadows, closing our eyes to where we need grace most.

Yet Christ comes into our world not to make us fearful, but to bring us freedom.

In a world that constantly demands more of our time, energy, and attention, it is easy to feel scattered.

This prayer invites us to step away from the noise and rediscover the quiet wisdom of God.

Take a moment today to pause, breathe, and be still.
