Jamie Zhu changed my life and many others…

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Jamie Zhu personally for a while now, and what I’ve seen him give up for Jesus is unlike anything I’ve witnessed.

For years, Jamie earned a significant income through social media influencing in the secular world. Then he faced a choice:

Continue going against his convictions for the sake of money, or remain faithful to Jesus and accept whatever losses might come.

He chose faithfulness to Jesus, even though it meant walking away from substantial financial gain.

I highly honour Jamie for this.

He is someone who has genuinely lived the lifestyle that many young people think they want. Before becoming a Christian, he lived the kind of life I dreamed of having. Yet hearing him now say that all of it was nothing compared to knowing Christ deeply encourages me to keep walking the narrow path.

One of the Scriptures he lives by is:

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)

Thank you, Jamie, for inspiring me and so many others. Your example reminds us that Jesus is worth more than anything this world can offer. 🙏❤️

A prayer was answered this night…

After catching up with these amazing people, we headed out to evangelise, and I was shocked by what happened…

A few months ago, I came across a looksmaxxer named Androgenic who had been in the news after getting into a fight in Fortitude Valley. Ever since then, I felt a compassion for him because I could see past the outward image to the hurt young man behind it all.

I actually prayed and asked God for an opportunity to share the Gospel with him one day, not knowing if or when that opportunity would come.

After one of our first interviews, a girl came up to me and told me she had just “mogged” Androgenic. (For those who don’t know, “mogged” is Gen Z slang for looking better than someone.)

The moment she said that, I had a feeling my prayer was about to be answered. But first, I focused on what was right in front of me.

I asked her the question we’ve been asking people recently:

“If Jesus was standing in front of you right now, what would you say to Him?”

Her answer surprised me.

It also deeply moved me because I felt the presence of God immediately.

She replied:

“Help me.”

Thankfully, Jesus was present, and He used me to respond to her cry. She was powerfully touched by God in that moment and shared that she has been trying to get back into church recently.

After that encounter, I went to find Androgenic.

Honestly, I was nervous. My heart was racing. It was that familiar feeling I get whenever God calls me to step outside my comfort zone.

There were heaps of people around him taking photos, so I waited for the right moment and then approached him, getting straight to the point.

I shared openly with him about Christ being our true identity—not our appearance, status, or what people think about us. Even with people all around him, God made him supernaturally lock into the conversation. I could see something shifting in him as we spoke.

While everyone else was hyping him up, I believe he could sense that I genuinely cared about him and was sharing truth, not flattery.

A little while later, he walked past me and just locked eyes with me for a moment.

I believe Jesus is doing something in his life.
