Father’s Day at Brisbane City Temple 💙

Today we celebrated fathers, grandfathers, families and the generations who have gone before us — and those who will come after us.

We also took time to remember. Throughout Scripture, God’s people laid stones of remembrance — physical reminders of God’s faithfulness and the stories of those who had gone before. Today, we brought our own stories to the foot of the cross: fathers, grandfathers, children, relationships, hopes, grief and gratitude. We remembered. We gave thanks. We brought it to Jesus.

We even had fathers, grandfathers and kids learning Hot Cross Buns together on the recorders! 🎶👏 And thanks to our wonderful music teacher Jason, it went far better than we expected! 😂

Through our Kids Time and Ash’s message from Genesis 3, we were challenged about what it means to pass faith on to the next generation — and to take responsibility for our own choices.

Adam had plenty of excuses… perhaps we can learn from him! 😉

Sometimes faith looks like saying “I was wrong,” “I don’t know,” and being willing to learn — together.

Above all, we were reminded to give glory to God, whose faithfulness reaches from generation to generation.

Well done to all of the bands who played at today’s Brisbane Bands in the Round today, what a wonderful way to share in fellowship as we give praise and honour to our awesome God.

A special shout to Brisbane City Temple Band and bandmaster Michael. Listening to you rehearse each Wednesday evening, I see the prayer, the way you open the Word together at each rehearsal and fellowship and the way you care about one another.

Your playing is a beautiful expression of Christ on you each and His unifying love

Tonight at Youth Group we made pizzas, made memories and definitely conquered the pizza! 😂🙌

We talked about how God isn’t just an extra topping in our lives — He needs to be the base we build everything on. 🙌

Faith + friendship + pizza = pretty much the perfect night.

Last Monday, we were incredibly blessed to have a team of corporate volunteers from Texhnology One join us in the social hall at BCT.
Together, we embarked on the adventure that is painting.
The paint was on our faces, on our clothes, and most importantly - on the pillars and aircon ducting.
I want to give a massive shoutout to these guys for their hard work, their attention to detail, and the privilege of getting to know them and share together over a menu of paint and subway

The social hall is looking amazing - ready to be used by corps people and community.
A place of fellowship, of sharing, of fun, and of food. A place where we can, together, enjoy the grace and blessings of God

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we will be remaining at Brisbane City Temple!

We’re so grateful and blessed to continue serving alongside our wonderful BCT family. We love this place and are excited for all God has ahead!

I’m also excited to share that I have been appointed to the Officer Recruitment Team, representing Queensland — an opportunity I’m passionate about and looking forward to stepping into.

We’re staying, and we’re excited for this next season! 🙏💙
