WAITING....FOR GOD’S GLORY 🙏

Waiting is not easy. When God doesn’t move when or how we expect, we can begin to question Him.

In John 11, Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:21)

She could not yet see that the delay would become an opportunity for the glory of God to be revealed.

Sometimes we ask, “God, why are You taking so long?” But perhaps the greater question is, “How will I live while I wait?”

Patience is not simply the ability to wait—it is how we behave while we are waiting.

Job endured suffering while holding onto God. The Israelites were told, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14), yet shortly afterwards God told them to move forward (Exodus 14:15).

There is a time to stand still in faith, and there is a time to move forward in obedience.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. Revelation 14:12 describes God’s people as patiently enduring while remaining faithful to Jesus.

Waiting on God does not mean doing nothing. It means trusting, obeying, praying and remaining faithful while God works.

Delayed answers can build stronger faith, deeper resilience and greater dependence on God.

So while you wait:
🙏 Remember what God has already done.
🙏 Remain faithful.
🙏 Keep moving when He tells you to move.
🙏 Trust Him when He tells you to stand still.
🙏 Keep your eyes on the goal.

The waiting may be difficult, but God can use even the waiting for His glory. ❤️

RUNNING ON EMPTY — WHO RULES YOUR HEART? ❤️

Life can become so busy that, before we realise it, we are running on empty. Sometimes, what keeps us busy can quietly become what rules us.

God calls us to refocus our hearts and keep Him at the centre—not only at church, but in our homes, relationships, conversations, and everyday lives.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 ESV

When we are tired, overwhelmed, or caught up in the busyness of life, our strength is renewed in Him. And amongst everything demanding our attention, may we never forget where we truly belong.

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20 ESV

This world can consume so much of our time, energy and attention, but it is not our final home. Our citizenship is in heaven. Jesus is coming again!

Who rules your heart?

May Christ remain at the centre as we live each day with our hearts set on eternity. 🙏

Being a peacemaker is a choice!

Jesus calls us not simply to avoid conflict, but to actively seek reconciliation and make things right with one another (Matthew 5:23–24). When we “let the peace of Christ rule” in our hearts (Colossians 3:15), His peace influences how we respond even when circumstances around us are difficult.

Like Peter in the storm, our peace is found by keeping our eyes on Jesus. The storm may not disappear immediately, but Christ is present in the storm.

And sometimes maintaining peace requires us to “fight the good fight of the faith” (1 Timothy 6:12)—choosing faith over fear, forgiveness over resentment, reconciliation over division, and Christ over our own reactions.

To Serve with Love and Kindness - Pr Peau

From Lo-Debar to the King's Table

After becoming disabled, Mephibosheth lived in Lo-Debar, a place of isolation, shame, and barrenness. Like Adam and Eve, who were driven from Eden because of sin and hid in shame, Mephibosheth was separated from the palace and lived as an outcast.

Yet King David had made a covenant with Jonathan (1 Samuel 20:14–17), and he remained faithful to that promise. Rather than forgetting Mephibosheth, David asked, "Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?" (2 Samuel 9:1).

When Mephibosheth was summoned to Jerusalem, he came in fear, expecting judgment. Instead, David greeted him with mercy, saying, "Do not be afraid." (2 Samuel 9:7). David invited Mephibosheth to eat continually at the king's table (2 Samuel 9:7, 10, 11, 13).

Although Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet, David looked beyond his disability and treated him like his own son. Seated at the king's table, his brokenness was hidden beneath the table. This story points us directly to Jesus Christ. The covenant David honoured finds its ultimate fulfilment at the cross. Jesus seeks us in our own "Lo-Debar"—our shame, brokenness, fear, and sin—and invites us to His table of grace.

Too often we spend our lives looking under the table, focusing on our failures, weaknesses, and past mistakes. But Jesus calls us to lift our eyes to the King of kings. Don't let your past define your future. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ and remember that His grace is greater than your shame.

As the bride of Christ, we look forward to the great marriage supper of the Lamb. When Jesus returns, there will be no more pain, disability, shame, or sorrow. We will sit forever at the King's table, completely restored.

Today, we are living in a world that often resembles Lo-Debar—filled with division, animosity, and brokenness. Yet Jesus is still calling people home through His love and kindness.

Is there someone in your life who needs to experience the love, kindness, mercy, and grace of God through you today?

Let us stop looking under the table at our brokenness and instead lift our eyes to Jesus. He has prepared a place for us, and soon we will sit at the King's table forever.

Jesus is coming soon!
