Deepavali Mela Receives Strong Support from the South Australian Government

The Hindu Council of Australia – South Australia Chapter warmly thanks the Government of South Australia’s commitment of $200,000 over the next four years to support the Deepavali Mela, fulfilling its pre‑election pledge. This contribution reflects a shared commitment between the Government and the Hindu community to celebrate cultural diversity and strengthen community life in South Australia.

The funding will help expand the Deepavali Mela into a larger, more inclusive festival, bringing together people from all backgrounds to experience the spirit of Deepavali - light, unity, and community. We appreciate the Government’s partnership and look forward to continuing this collaboration in building a vibrant, multicultural South Australia.
