🎶 Meet Brooke Shelley, one of our composers-in-residence for AdelaideinSpires!

Brooke holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) in Composition from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Master of Music in Historical Musicology from Royal Holloway, University of London. Formally trained in piano, harpsichord, and composition, her work focuses primarily on choral music for the liturgy. Her compositions have been performed and commissioned by ensembles across Australia and internationally, including Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, The Song Company, Adelaide Chamber Singers, and The District Eight (Washington DC).

This October, she joins us in Adelaide for four days of music-making, worship, and formation – with a special focus on Australian and New Zealand composers. We are thrilled to welcome her as an embodiment of the living, breathing evolution of sacred music!

🎶 We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Stewart as a guest director for AdelaideinSpires!

Michael is Organist and Director of Music at the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul, Music Director of The Tudor Consort, and one of New Zealand’s foremost choral conductors and concert organists. His choirs have recorded for BBC Radio 3 and Radio New Zealand Concert, and he brings decades of experience leading liturgical music of the highest standard.

This October, he joins us in Adelaide for four days of music-making, worship, and formation – with a special focus on Australian and New Zealand composers. We couldn’t think of a better guide for that journey.
