The Parish Office for the Youth Apostolate (P.O.Y.A) proudly presented the traditional “Sabet” this Easter Sunday, a deeply rooted expression of faith celebrating the joy of the Resurrection and the encounter between the Risen Christ and His Blessed Mother. The celebration opened with the Descent of the Angel, a solemn and symbolic prelude that prepared the faithful for the sacred Easter moment.
As the celebration continued, the P.O.Y.A members, who portrayed angels, filled the atmosphere with reverence and devotion, including their uplifting singing of the Regina Coeli. The highlight of the event was the Queen Angel, Lorraine Rheiz Versoza, who unveiled the Mater Dolorosa by removing her mourning veil after the symbolic meeting with the Risen Christ—signifying sorrow transformed into joy and the triumph of life over death.
The celebration was made possible through the generous support of sponsors whose contributions helped bring the event to life. Their kindness also made the traditional Easter egg hunting a joyful experience for children and families. Truly, the “Sabet” remains a living tradition of faith, unity, and community spirit that continues to inspire devotion each Easter Sunday.
