‘As parents and leaders, let’s not be silent observers as our youth define the standards they will live by’

"Our Father’s Intelligence and His power are unfathomable, but even more staggering brothers and sisters, is the felicitous fact of His perfect love. Even as you and I come to love Him, as the apostle reminded us, God loved us first. All the while He endures our insensitivity, our ingratitude, and our relapses. All the while, He honors our individuality. Things are to be done in God’s own way. Someday, probably at or near the resurrection, we will get our pre mortal memories back. These memories will give us even more abundant reasons to praise God forever."

This is what love looks like.

It doesn't seek to be seen.
It doesn't ask for anything in return.
It simply serves - even those who may never understand it.

When Christ washed the feet of the disciples, He wasn't just teaching them humility... He was showing the world what heaven looked like in human form.

Every drop of water in this painting represents grace - quiet, undeserved, freely given.
The kind that finds you where you are and reminds you that you are never too far gone to be made clean again.

That is what He is all about.

His invitation is this, "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet." - John 13:14

Shop this piece, let it be a daily reminder that love is strongest when it serves.

President Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in his October 2020 General Conference address noted that "when the Salt Lake Valley suffered a 5.7-magnitude earthquake earlier this year, this venerable temple shook hard enough that the trumpet on the statue of the angel Moroni fell!"

Along with this observation, he was also able to announce that "We have undertaken a major project to extend the life and capacity of the Salt Lake Temple."

Canadian saints as well as saints from around the world have shown interest in how this work is progressing. It is now nearly complete as shown by an ongoing series of news updates.

In that Conference talk, however, President Nelson also noted, "Just as the physical foundation of the Salt Lake Temple must be strong enough to withstand natural disasters, our spiritual foundations must be solid. Then, when metaphorical earthquakes rock our lives, we can stand 'steadfast and immovable' because of our faith."

Perhaps now would also be a good time to conduct a little personal analysis in order to give ourselves updates on how that challenge is being met.
