Samskruti is equanimous and exuberent at the same time. How to become equanimous and exuberent at the same time.
Samskruti is not an ideology, not a philosophy, not a religion but its a way of living. To make this happen to all, a very huge effort was made in this great nation to take to every human being. Later it was known as the Hindu culture. Its very important to know that the name Hindu refers not to a particular religion. The land that lies between Himalayas and the Indusagara, thats "Hindu". This is a geographical identity, if you are born in this particular area of land then you are a hindu. It doesnt matter if you are an ant, a tree, an animal or even an earthworm still you are a hindu just because you are born here. Its just like saying an elephant born in Africa, we say it as an African elephant. If a lion is born in Africa then we say it as an African Lion, so similarly its a hindu earthworm just because its a geographical identity.
We revered these geographical features because this Himalayas and the Indian ocean gave us the freedom of doing what we want. That is for thousands of years or so we had undisturbed life, no barbarians were attacking us, no invasions and it was clear life of peacefulness. So thing evolved here like mathematics, astronomy, music, spirituality all these things found the highest expressions because there was no worries about the survival, the land was rich, the river was plenty, agriculture was producing enough food, enough animals around you and everything was fine. So people directed their energy inwards wanting to know themselves which is natural for a human being once survival concerns are taken off. So this was a culture which flourished for thousands of years without concerns of survival, naturally this culture evolved inward and we did not take care of our military forces because we thought the Himalayas and the Indian ocean is going to take care of us. That is why we call ourselves in great gratitude as Hindus. The Himalayas and the Indian ocean are the basis of our well being, so in this gratitude we named ourselves Hindus. These two geographical features made us who we are, without them we would not be who we are.
So the word Hindu is tremendous expression of gratitude to the mountain and the ocean between which we flourished. This was the only culture where there is a conscious effort to shape a real human being and the only goal was mukthi.
