Reflection on Mark 11:22–25
This passage reminds me that faith is not simply believing that God can do something—it is trusting Him completely, even when circumstances seem impossible.
Jesus says, “Have faith in God.” That is a powerful reminder that our confidence should not be based on what we see, what we feel, or what seems possible to us. Sometimes we face situations that feel like mountains—problems we don't know how to overcome, prayers that seem unanswered, or circumstances beyond our control. God calls us to bring those things to Him with genuine faith.
But Jesus also connects faith with forgiveness. Before we pray, we are reminded to release anger, resentment, and bitterness toward others. We cannot ask God to transform our hearts while continually holding on to what hurts us.
Faith means trusting God.
Prayer means surrendering to God.
Forgiveness means releasing the burden to God.
There may be things in life that I cannot control or change. But I can choose to trust God, pray with confidence, and forgive with a willing heart.
Sometimes the greatest miracle is not that God immediately changes the situation—it is that He changes me while I am waiting for Him.
